Looks like all rendering has been done & internal finishing has commenced.
First weekend of games at home and no building – had porta-loos, thats something?
Thank you to all those that helped set up and make the day as good as it could be.

Academy News
Swansea FC intends to run 3 x Development Academy squads for its elite players in 2011. The format for the squads is still being determined but will generally involve:
- A 20 player squad for 14 – 16 year old boys and 16 year old girls;
- A 20 player squad for 12 & 13 year old boys and 12 – 14 year old girls; and
- An emerging academy for 9 – 11 year old’s.
We have been fortunate to secure the services of Michael Cossgrove as the Academy Coach for the two senior squads. Michael comes highly recommended. In recent times Michael has:
- Coached U16 and U19 NNSW Futsal teams;
- Convenor and coach for Combined Independent High Schools representative sides at National titles;
- Has run Development Academies for Independent Schools;
- Coached U19 NBN league side; and
- Coached U19 and A grade New FM side.
The Academy is additional training to the regular teams and is optional. The Academy has proven very popular in the past 2 seasons and has been highly sought after. The club will have further information on details and cost by the registration days. Players will be selected during the grading days.
Swansea Football Club has been accepted into the new ZONE PREMIER LEAGUE competition for 2011.
The competition will consist of 1st Grade – Open Age, Reserve Grade – Open Age and 23’s – Restricted to players 23 and under, with a maximum of 4 over age players.
Other teams in the competition are – Dudley-Redhead United FC, Kahibah FC, Mayfield United FC, Morissett United FC, New Lambton Eagles FC, Newcastle University Men’s FC, Thornton Park FC and Wallsend FC.
This is a great thing for Swansea FC and will also be great for the Swansea area in general.
More information soon – stay tuned.

SWANSEA FOOTBALL CLUB GOING GREEN
Thanks to a grant from the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water NSW Swansea Football Club Inc is now set up to collect rain water which will be used to flush toilets and clean the amenities at Chapman Oval.
The project has now been completed and in the first two weeks of use a total of 22kl of town water was saved by using the collected rain water.
The savings should be even better when the tank has had a chance to fill completely and the planed extensions to the amenities are completed and the included public toilets have also been connected to the rain water tank.
Swansea Football Club Inc would like to thank Ross Bowmaker and Wayne Broadbent for their work in obtaining the grant and getting the project up and running.
